The 12 days Morocco tour will take you to places and impart activities that most travelers fail to include in their bucket list. Learn about the rich culture of Morocco through participating in a cooking workshop, get into the heart of the mountains while learning about its mysterious history before joining the vast Sahara desert where you will spend the night under the stars. You will also explore Marrakech and its bustling alleyways, and much more.
Detailed Itinerary
Meet & greet upon arrival in Casablanca airport by your private driver/guide. Drive to the city center of this cosmopolitan city that is regarded as the economic capital of Morocco.
Visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, which is the landmark of Casablanca being the third-largest mosque in the Islamic World and a blend of Moroccan and Andalusian Architecture. Depending on our schedule, you will explore the mosque from the inside with a local tour guide.
Visit the Rick's Cafe then have an interesting drive alongside the paved Ain Diab Corniche before getting to the Morocco Mall. Later, we will escort you to your hotel where you will spend your first night.

After breakfast, we will head to Marrakech through the highway and once we are in the ochre city, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech with a local tour guide.
Visit the botanical Majorelle Gardens that have been an inspiration to many worldwide artists. It was designed by Jacques Majorelle whose dream is to make a small paradise on earth, for this reason, he spent most of his life collecting plants from all over the world.
Learn about the history behind the Koutoubia Mosque, which is the landmark of Marrakech dating back to the 12th century. Visit the 15th century Saadian Tombs with its geometric designs, stucco-work, and Zellij tiles. Later, you will meander around the 19th century Bahia Palace before strolling the bustling Souks (markets) that are divided into sections.
Get to the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna Square (the focal point of Marrakech) that turns, in the evening, into a carnival filled with musicians, snake charmers, storytellers, acrobats along with food stalls that serve Moroccan delicacies.

Today, you will learn about the real Moroccan culture through its rich and diversified cuisine. Visit the nearby Souk with a guide where you can purchase vegetables and learn how Moroccans bargain.
Get to the workshop that is led by an expert Chef. You will make three-course Moroccan dishes including salads, Tajine or Pastilla, and a dessert. The workshop does not only offer a space of opening up and cultural immersion but also a fun experience.

After breakfast, we will resume our 12 day real Morocco tour by heading south into the heart of the Atlas Mountains that stand like a wall dividing Morocco into two parts.
After around half an hour of driving, we will get to the administrative center of Tahanaouet, then to the Berber village that offers panoramic views. We will cross Asni, which is known for the Saturday traditional weekly market before getting to the lush village of Ouirgane where you will have the rest of the day on your own to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Today, we will head to Taroudant passing by the Tinmel Mosque that was built by the Almohads in the 11th century before they conquered the ruling Almoravids in the 12th century.
Tinmel is one of the mosques that are opened to non-muslims with its unique Almohad architecture that has been used as an example for constructing many religious buildings around the world.
Cross the Tizi n'Test pass before reaching the charming city of Taroudant with its ramparts that catch the eye. Have a tour around its Souks (markets) and learn about its history before spending our 5th night in a comfortable Riad/hotel.

After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad in Taroudant, our 12 day real Morocco tour will lead us to the barren desert of Zagora passing by Taliouine, which is known for the production of saffron, then Taznakht that is famous for making rugs.
Arrive in Zagora in the late afternoon where we will spend our 6th night in this palm valley.

Today, we will dive deep into the Sahara desert taking an offroad before getting to the village of Tafraouet Sidi Ali where we will spend the night in a nice Riad.

Today, we will resume our journey down to the Merzouga desert that is famous for the golden sand dune field of Erg Chebbi. We will include a short break in the Khamlia Village that is resided by black Africans who were brought as slaves from the Sub-Saharan Lands. They are famous for the Gnawa Music, which they perform to visitors using drums and castanets.
Later, you will go on a camel ride experience while enjoying the breathtaking view of the sunset before getting to our luxury desert camp where you will be served dinner in a romantic setting.

Early wake up in the morning, enjoy the marvelous view of the sunrise, then have a refreshing breakfast before getting ready for resuming our journey. Pass by Erfoud, which is famous for dates and fossils, then stretch your legs in the impressive Todra Gorges (canyons) before getting to the lush Dades Valley where we will spend the night.

Today, we will have an interesting drive across the desert plateau leading to the lush valley of Ait Boutghrar. We will make a visit to a local nomad family that lives in a cave offering an opportunity to learn about their unique lifestyle.
Join the Valley of Roses, then visit the Amridil Kasbah that goes back to the 15th century before getting to Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) where we will spend our 10th night.

After breakfast, we will make a visit to the Atlas Film Studios that have turned the region into a backdrop for shooting many national and international films including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia, Sahara, and many others.
Have a guided walking tour around the dramatic and UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou with its Kasbahs (fortresses) that are a striking example of southern architecture. After lunch, we will cross the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260 m) before reaching Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Depending on your flight schedule, we will get either to the Marrakech or Casablanca airport for departure hoping you will get back home with embedded memories from our beloved Morocco.
