Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Valley

After having breakfast in your Riad/hotel in Marrakech, your private driver will pick you up at 08:30 am for an exceptional experience 6 days desert tour from Marrakech to Chefchaouen.

Have a nice drive across the spectacular Atlas Mountains with scattered Berber Village on the edge of the river. Drive through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260 m) and have a guided tour around the dramatic Ait Benhaddou Village. This unique masterpiece of architecture dating back to the 14th century was a commercial center in the former caravan route that used to connect Marrakech with the Sahara.

After lunch, we will drive through Ouarzazate with the option to visit the Atlas Film Studios. Continue on the track driving across the lush valley of Roses to the Dades Valley where we will spend our first night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert (Camel Trek)

Today, our 6 days desert tour from Marrakech to Chefchaouen will lead us further south passing by the impressive Todra Gorges (canyons) where we will stretch our legs while enjoying the immense beauty of the attraction.

After lunch, we will arrive in the desert of Erg Chebbi where you will leave the car and mount the camel for a lifetime experience. Get to the luxury desert camp where you will be served dinner followed by a session of music before culminating the day with a relaxing sleep in your ensuite tent.

Day 3: Explore the Desert Area

Wake in the early and take a walk in the soft golden sand dunes while enjoying the stunning view of the sunrise. After having breakfast and having a refreshing shower, we will devote the day to explore the desert area.

Have a nice drive alongside the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes before getting an overview on the traditional "Khettaras", which is a sophisticated system of irrigation that consists of conveying water from far distances to source water for the oasis.

Drive through the Merzouga Village and get to Khamlia that is resided by people with dark skin brought as slaves from the Sub-Saharan Lands. They will welcome us and perform the spiritual "Gnawa Music" by which they are known.

Later, we will have a complete tour around the sand dune field that offers majestic views. Stop by the local mines before arriving in the nomad family who live in a tent. After sharing a cup of tea and learning about their unique lifestyle, we will drive back to our Riad/hotel that is located by the feet of the sand dunes.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, our 6 days desert tour from Marrakech to Chefchaouen will take us to the imperial city of Fes. Include a short break for taking pictures in the palm valley of Ziz, then cross the Atlas Mountains before getting to Midelt, which is known for the production of Apples.

After lunch, we will drive through the UNESCO listed Middle Atlas Mountains that host a colony of Barbary Macaques. Stretch your legs in the ski resort city of Ifrane before getting to Fes in the evening.

Day 5: Full-Day Exploring Fes

After breakfast, we will devote the day to exploring the mysterious and imperial city of Fes with a local tour guide.

Drive uphill and enjoy the stunning view of the Fes el-Bali (oldest Fes), which is listed by the UNESCO as a world heritage site and is the largest car-free district in the world. Later, take memorable pictures by the golden gates of the Royal Palace, then meander around the Mellah (former Jewish Quarter) with its vibrant Souk (market).

Dive deep in the bustling alleyways of the Fes el-Bali that reveal a rich history that goes back to the 8th century. Pass by the countless mosques & Medersas including the Al-Qarawiyyin, which is the oldest university in the world. Visit the Chouara Tanneries, then explore the Souks (markets) before escorting you back to your Riad/hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Fes – Ouazzane – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we will head to the blue city of Chefchaouen by driving through the spectacular Rif Mountains. Arrive in Chefchaouen in the afternoon and assist with getting to your Riad/hotel. End of Service.
